(4 star hotel) is located in one of the narrow alleys of Asakusa’s Nakamise Shopping Street.

9/10 stars
Location. Best if you want to be close to Sensoji Temple for morning or night shots to avoid the crowds during the day. It’s crowded every day.
Aesthetic rooms. Boutique hotel. Each floor is themed with a different season. This is the most beautiful hotel I’ve stayed at.
Water jug in the room. Fresh cold or hot water so you don’t have to leave the room!
Room tour: Check out this video for a complete room tour of all the rooms. Tokyo's Most Instagrammable Hotel
Free ticket to Sento public bath nearby. I didn’t have a chance to go… so I’m regretting it!
Complimentary coffee and snacks. Fresh coffee and Japanese snack in the lobby every morning.
Tokyo Sour Stand. Hotel’s cafe and they have the best refreshing drinks and food.

2. Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel
(4 star hotel) is a new stylish modern family-friendly hotel.
Big enough for huge tour groups, sports teams, big families.
8/10 stars
Great location. Near Tokyo Station and easy access to Tokyo Disney.
Large groups. The lobby area and drop off area are spacious enough for large tour groups and sports team to loiter and not cause a hot mess.
Sento Public Bath. Very large facilities.
Sauna. Wooden (men’s) and steam room (ladies). I wish they could alternate sides because I like the wooden sauna better.
Room. Modern, sleek, clean. Japanese-themed wall art. Beautiful round mirror. Great layout. I want to live here!
Con: There are no places to eat in the area, but the hotel restaurant in the lobby was incredible!

3. S-Peria Inn Nihombashi Hakozaki
(3 star hotel) is a modern business hotel with a convenient central location if you need to stay near Tokyo Station or the Tokyo City Air Terminal.
The businesss hotel that doesn’t make me feel like a Japanese salary man.
7/10 stars
Great location for easy access to the airport.
3-minute walk to Tokyo City Air Terminal or T-CAT, where you can catch a limousine bus ride to Narita International Airport (takes 55 minutes) or Haneda Airport (takes 25 minutes). T-CAT Website
5 minutes walk to Suitengumae station
15 minutes by direct train to Tokyo Skytree (with 2 stations on 3 different train lines within walking distance, you can reach Tokyo Station, Asakusa Station, and Ueno Station in about 20 minutes by train).
Located near Tokyo Station. 16 train ride (2 transfers). 11 min taxi ride.
Great hotel if you need to ride the bullet train in the morning.
Amazing cheap izakaya of downtown Edo. Check out this blog post (coming soon) on the best places to do and eat that I found in the area! This area is the original Asakusa, so come here instead for Edo-culture in an area that’s less touristy and crowded. What they offer is better!
Welcome drink. One regular size drink from a vending machine per guest.
Breakfast buffet. Customizable English muffin and your usual Japanese and western dishes.
Morning or evening run. Located a street away from Sumida River. It’s on the street of the most beautiful modern bridge, Kiyosu-bashi Bridge that was built after the Tokyo Great Earthquake. Check it out at night, I felt like I was in London!
Modern bathroom. Newly built bathtub and one pack of bath salt is provided per guest.
Con: The view is the highway. It’s a business hotel so we can’t expect much.
