The Princess Treatment in Asakusa

A family from San Francisco spends the Christmas holidays in Asakusa guided by Cyber Bunny

Making memories in Japan

Kimono Makeover Transformation

I, Cyber Bunny, wanted to give the girls the ultimate Japanese princess treatment.

On Day 2, we started our day straight to the kimono rental shop in the morning.

The girls picked out their selection in advance. After months of patiently waiting for their Japan trip, they finally got to see their kimono in person.

Travel tip: If you are indecisive, check out their website first and reserve it in advanced, this will make the process smoother!

Select obi belt that day

Time for hair make & make-up!

*Only hair is included in the kimono price. I lightly did their makeup next door.

Pick out one hair piece or two small pins! Don’t worry, I bring extra, so you can borrow as many as you want from my collection!

The Final Results

As a Christmas gift, I added the fur tippet for the girls. Since it was winter season, it really adds to the holiday festivities. Don’t they look so lovely!!

Mom and I were tearing up inside…

I can’t believe it, but the cherry blossoms are blooming? What a Christmas miracle!

I took a bunch of photos for the girls, while Mom and Dad got to relax and enjoy “couples time” together. How sweet!

Rickshaw

Princesses don’t walk, they are carried.

They got to meet cute, animated, strong boys from Ebisuya Rickshaw gang!

As we walked around, I talked a little bit of fun facts about Japanese culture, like this daruma doll.

Fact: If you have a goal in mind, fill in the daruma’s left eye. Then fill in the right eye when you have accomplished the goal. Then fly back to Japan and return it to a shrine or temple to burn it and say thanks.

Newly opened crepe shop

This is an artwork in itself. I’ve never seen a crepe so carefully and beautifully made. It is stuffed from top to bottom.

Palm reading

Wanna get your fortune told? A popular activity among Japanese ladies. “When will I get married? What will my career look like? What should I watch out for?…”

Thank you for spending the holidays in Japan with Cyber Bunny Tours! We pray 2025 will treat you well!
