Mother-Daughter Trip
Got VIP tickets to see Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Concert in Tokyo Dome!
Sam is an old acquaintance of mine, whom I never had the chance to actually get to know each other until now. She’s very creative, artistic, expressive and has struggled through several hospital visits due to her medical condition. She survived thyroid cancer by the way!!! And still has yet to battle liver disease. I’m so inspired by the strength this girl has, who is living every single day as if it’s her last.
Her mother is also incredible. She is THE stage mom who packs snacks for all the theatre kids and makes all the costume in every production. The bond between them is priceless.
So I knew instantly, we would connect. We have the same mindset, challenges and quirky ways. Even supportive moms by our sides, doing whatever it takes to make sure we stay healthy and happy. It was my pleasure to guide the two, who came all the way from Hawaii (bringing my favorite Hawaiian Mac nuts and chocolate!) Mahalo <3
Local foods
Min Min’s handmade fried gyoza and Satou’s Menchi Katsu are my recommendations when you’re visiting Kichijoji. Both cash only btw!
Game Center & Purikura
We had the whole place to ourselves since everyone is either at school or work.
Sam is a pro at coloring! Look at this artwork! Unfortunately, it did not save when the purikura printed out. But I managed to photograph one of the finished product!
Capybara & Cat Cafe
The cats don’t even bother with me because I look like them LOL. So sassy! They look like Taylor Swift’s cats.
Her cat’s names are Meredith Grey, Benjamin Button, and Olivia Benson. Olivia is allegedly worth $97 million.
My favorite photo of the day:
The Ghibli Experience
Ghibli Museum and the popular Totoro cream puffs are a must in the Kichijoji Tour. It was their first time at the museum, but second time trying the cream puffs. This season’s limited flavor is Caramel Banana!
Inokashira Park
We also made a couple Tiktok’s at Inokashira Park and found this beautiful area with snow and a plum blossom tree!
Watch the dance to my new single: Sweet Slight Bloom Dance
Curse of the Pond
Rumor has it that lovers break up when they ride the swan boat in the park’s pond. Take your bf/gf here and give them a hint that it’s time to go separate ways. I’m only riding the boats with my guests and friends from now on!
Inokashira Park (井の頭恩賜公園)
1-18-31 Gotenyama, Musashino City, Tokyo
Perfect spot to view cherry blossoms and fall foliage
Shrine
Bucolic pond in the center
Swan boat rides
Zoo (main park)
Aquarium (secondary park)
Akita cuisine for dinner
What sets us apart from other tours is that we also do concierge service. We research and make reservations outside of the tour for our guests.
Sam wanted a dinner recommendation, so I booked a table for her and her mom at Hinai-iya, which is popular for Akita prefecture’s Yakitori and Kiritanpo (きりたんぽ), which is a half-mashed steamed rice wrapped on a stick and roasted over a charcoal fire.
I’m very glad to hear that Sam and her mom both enjoyed the dishes. Perfect for a cold snowy day! Here are some of their favorite dishes. Reservations highly advised!
